About Us

Our Story

 We are two sisters who were blessed with a very fortunate childhood. Not a rich and famous one, but a stable, active and healthy childhood. Growing up in Bulgaria, we were lucky to be surrounded by a loving family, loyal friends and caring neighbors. We could always be found enjoying the outdoors and taking advantage of what the country side had to offer, which typically included food. Life, it seemed, revolved a lot around the kitchen.

Upon moving to the U.S., we adapted quickly to our new way of life. Yet, there was one thing that we never quite got used to: the fast-food culture. As children, we didn’t know what “organic” was. Everything we ate came from the local farmer down the road. The supermarket was not our idea of the place to get local, fresh produce, but that soon became our new reality. It was also the point at which we realized the value of our childhood experiences, and, even more so, the simplicity of what we ate.

So, together, we combined our business and design backgrounds, put our shared passion for food to work and founded Oliovera. Specializing in the freshest and highest quality certified California extra virgin olive oils and vinegars, Oliovera is a socially good and health-inspired olive oil company that believes in bottling sustainable and locally grown olive oils. We are all about educating and inspiring people to be environmentally friendly and eat healthy.

At the end of the day, we care about the simple things that matter the most. Love for olive oil. Love for people. And, the fortune to share this love with others.

Oliovera was founded on 3 basic ideas that we live and breathe everyday...
+ LOCAL. Oliovera olive oils are produced on small farms around California. We strongly believe in local products and supporting only local farmers devoted to ethical practices. 
+ FARM-TO-TABLE. Produced with much love, you will always enjoy the latest harvest Oliovera olive oils that come straight from the olive groves to your kitchen.
+ SUSTAINABLE. Oliovera olive oils are grown in a sustainable manner to ensure future generations can enjoy the same benefits of the olive trees.  



Kosher Conscious

Keeping kosher is important to some of our customers, so we work with KOF-K Kosher Supervision to kosher certify our olive oil annually.  All Oliovera EVOOs are KOF-K certified kosher and pareve for Passover.

The KOF-K emblem is the internationally recognized trademark of KOF-K Kosher Supervision, one of the foremost Kosher certification agencies in the United States. Only those products and services meeting the strictest standards of Kosher law are permitted to display the symbol, which is protected under Federal law against unauthorized use. When consumers see KOF-K on a product, they know they are buying foods that meet the highest levels of kashrus (Kosher law).
